In-person courses
I am pleased to offer small group courses in knapping and stone age tool making. This course is designed for those who want to learn the techniques and equipment used in the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic eras. Beginners are very welcome, and the course is aimed to be introductory to knapping as well as giving opportunities to further the skills of those with experience.
Courses are held at The Pines Gardens, an eco events centre located within the UNESCO listed Geopark, St Margret's Bay, Kent.
Courses are held in small groups of 4 to 6 seats to make sure everyone gets some one-on-one tuition throughout the lesson.
Courses run from 10:30am to 2pm with breaks in-between each section, please see the booking link above for availability.
Day courses include access to The Pines Calyx and Cafe. All equipment is provided, and you will leave with the stone age tools you make.
The meeting point for courses is The Pines Garden, Cafe & Visitor Centre, Beach Road, St Margarets Bay, Kent CT15 6DZ from 10am - see the map (left) the cafe is situated down a steep narrow road, where there is plenty of free parking, there is also a paid car park on St Margret's Beach.
